Award Conferred: Graduate Certificate

Total Number of Credit Hours: 9 Sem. Hr(s).

The online EVP Livestock Systems Management Graduate Certificate is unique in that it foregoes the traditional focus on individual animals by redirecting learners to consider animal health challenges at a population and systems level, with particular focus on the economic and food safety aspects of disease management and prevention. Course material will apply an adapted lean manufacturing model and method tailored for the management of animal health and disease in livestock production systems. The material is designed to provide an in-depth and practical understanding of population and systems-based infectious disease control and management practices and to equip learners with the ability to apply these principles to their own on-the-job decision making.
