LER 566 2 - International HR Management
Human resource management issues examined from the perspective of the multinational firm. Topics include globalization and human resource strategy, management and the structure of multinational firms, dealing with intercultural differences, selecting employees for foreign assignments, training and developing expatriate employees, evaluation and compensation of employees in international assignments. Individual and group projects. Course Information: Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
Synchronous Collaborative sessions: Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm central time on October 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, December 1 and 8. This course is part of a self-supporting program and DOES NOT accept the following tuition and fee waivers (TFWs): Cooperation Teachers waivers, Non-Academic waivers (including UIUC employees and employees of other state institutions), Academic waivers from UIUC, UIC, and UIS employees, Related Agency waivers, Field Supervisor waivers, waivers granted through fellowships/assistantships as governed by the Graduate College at UIUC, or Retiree waivers.
