MLS 477 - Molecular Diagnotics
This course offers an introduction into the principles, utility, and diversity of molecular testing in the medical laboratory. Central concepts include: nucleic acid extraction, amplification and detection; mutations and polymorphisms; DNA sequencing; molecular microbiology; inherited disease; molecular oncology; pharmacogenetics; and quality assurance and control in the molecular diagnostic laboratory.
