ENG 470 - Topics in Creative Writing II - Topic: Between Genres

Instruction in writing original poetry, novels, plays, and short stories. Course Information: May be repeated if topics vary. Students may register in more than one section per term. Prerequisites: a 300-level creative writing course (or equivalent) with a C or better.

Special Instructions:

Requires Departmental Approval. This workshop-style course will focus on creative writing that challenges traditional creative writing genre conventions in a range of ways. Fiction writers, poets, and creative non-fiction writers are invited to play at the edges of their genres and cross over them, exploring what might come from imagining multiple genres at work in their texts.
