Special Instructions:

The course introduces the fundamental concepts, the theory and the practice of Natural Language Processing, a field of Artificial Intelligence devoted to creating computer systems which understand and produce human languages. The course will introduce both classic and statistical approaches to NLP, including neural networks and deep learning, will expose students to state-of-the-art tools and technologies and their impact on a variety of applications. Requires Departmental Approval.
