Special Instructions:
Interdisciplinary Methods in Research Computing addresses technical and soft skills in managing computer-based research. Relevant to both technical and newly technical student researchers from disciplines across campus. This course will cover data management; process management and task automation; and research project management. Topics include data organization in spreadsheets, document revision control, data visualization, robust testing strategies, and reproducibility. Grad students will complete additional problems on each of their homework assignments including the final project. Meets with IS 497 IMO, ENGR 498 IM, and CSE 498 IM.
