Special preparation in specialized fields of musicology, composition-theory, performance, and music education. Course Information: 0 to 4 undergraduate hours. 0 to 4 graduate hours. Approved for Letter and S/U grading. May be repeated to a maximum of 16 hours. Prerequisite: Senior or graduate standing in music or music education; consent of instructor.

Special Instructions:

"CHORAL STUDIES" is a four-semester course sequence that will explore the skills necessary for a conductor to become an efficient and inspiring rehearser: rehearsal technique; group vocal techniques; diction and aural skills; and choral styles beyond the canon (topics for this section will vary on each offering). Requires consent of instructor outside of the MM and DMA in Choral Music/Conducting.
