Applications of elementary nuclear physics in nuclear engineering. Nuclear reactor materials and components. Steady-state and transient operation of nuclear reactors. Nuclear energy removal and conversion. Radiation shielding. Course Information: Prerequisite: PHYS 212; credit or concurrent registration in MATH 285.
Prerequisites and concurrent registration will be enforced. Student who have not met these will be removed from this course.
