In this course, undergraduate and graduate music students will respond to contemporary issues in society through the use of critical theory (e.g., critical race theory, double consciousness theory, gift theory) technology, and the arts. The goal of this course is to encourage undergraduate and graduate students to imagine what their own artistic and creative actions might look like toward assuming a role to socially transform the world around them.
