Algebraic closures. Fundamental theorem of Galois theory, and applications. Modules over commutative rings. Structure of finitely generated modules over a principal ideal domain. Applications to finite Abelian groups and matrix canonical forms. Course Information: Prerequisite: MATH 417 and MATH 418.
