IS 471 AO4 - Instruc Strat Tech Info Prof

Provides an introduction to learning theories and instructional methods used in a variety of information settings, including libraries, archives, museums, online, and educational environments. Includes an overview of theoretical and applied research and discusses relevant issues and concepts. Students will have an opportunity to design and present an instructional program. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 2 or 4 graduate hours.

Special Instructions:

The difference between 2 and 4 credit hours is the assignments. All students complete an Instructional Design Project to design a one-hour workshop; four credit hour students also complete a teaching demonstration. Additional, smaller assignments may be required of both groups, and will vary by instructor. Graduate student questions may be sent to ischool-advising@illinois.edu
