MUS 499 AB2 - Proseminar in Music - The Art of Beatmaking II

Approved for Letter and S/U grading. May be repeated to a maximum of 16 hours. Prerequisite: Senior or graduate standing in music or music education; consent of instructor.

Special Instructions:

TOPIC: -The Art of Beatmaking II." This course is the second course in the School of Music's Beatmaking course sequence and gives students an opportunity to explore further urban and popular music beatmaking (traditionally referred to as instrumental music composition) from a lens of analysis, creativity, and technical understanding. Students work directly with a music industry professional to apply their creative and technical understanding to produce original music of their own. NOTE: This course is for experienced DAW users.
