FR 322 A - Movements and Perspectives - Feminist subjects

Focused study and discussion of a major literary movement or critical perspective. Topics will vary. Course Information: May be repeated to a maximum of 6 hours. Prerequisite: FR 207, FR 211, and FR 212; or equivalents.

Special Instructions:

This course explores aspects of women-s lives and feminist empowerment in France after 1950 through their representation in literature, film, and other forms of cultural production. Introduction to various topics, moments, and trends in feminism in France, such as the Mouvement de Liberation des Femmes, < French Feminism >, afrofeminism and movements for intersectional justice, #metoo, the return of the witches and ecofeminism.
