Topic: Design Thinking for a Campus Space (Part 2). Inspired by the human-centered design research findings of Design Thinking for a Campus Space Part 1, students will engage in the design development of the Illini Dads Centennial Plaza. Students will draw inspiration from the needs and wants of stakeholders, as well as engaging in new methods of creating interactive and immersive environments. Beyond the conceptual development of the space, students will take into consideration accessibility, sustainability, and ability to withstand the elements. Concepts will be represented through a variety of prototyping methods. Members of the Illini Dads Association will act as the project client, providing feedback and guidance throughout the semester. Students are encouraged but not required to take both parts of Design Thinking for a Campus Space - either session may be taken independently. Graduate Section.
