Topic: Writing Now for the Future - The Academic Catalog tells us that you-re supposed to write -research-based arguments of moderate complexity- for this course. Fair enough. Let-s put these arguments to good use in these strange days. We-ll work through a number of projects that are responsive to current conditions: another semester of mostly remote learning; constraints on mobility for the sake of public health; activism for justice on multiple fronts; and so on. At semester-s end, you will assemble a portfolio in a manner suitable for archiving. (I-m not invoking archiving casually here; we-ll explore and employ methods for preserving what you write this semester so that you-and, with your permission, others-can revisit our spectacular now sometime in the future.)
