***The BADM 395-SOM Service Operations Mgmt course is a BPM/OM Program Elective (Choose Three) course. This course will open to all Business Administration majors on Monday, December 7, 2020 at approximately 10:00 a.m. This course will open to all students in the Gies College of Business on Monday, December 14, 2020 at approximately 10:00 a.m. This course focuses on firms in the service sector. Specifically, we will consider service delivery, service encounter, service quality and management of capacity and demand through techniques of revenue management. Using a blend of cases and lectures this course will explore these aspects in diverse service industries such as financial services, hospitality, retail and healthcare. The course examines how such firms have utilized ideas of employee/customer participation, scalability, service quality, and experience management to great effect.
