PHYS 398 LA - Soph/Junr Special Topics Phys

Topical offerings of technical interest, skills, and knowledge in physics, and its practice, intended to augment the existing curriculum at the intermediate level. Course Information: Approved for Letter and S/U grading. May be repeated in separate terms up to 12 hours if topics vary. Prerequisite: See Class Schedule or departmental course information for topics and prerequisites. For students with sophomore or junior standing.

Special Instructions:

Students will learn the pedagogy of science teaching in a weekly 90 minute class, and will use this pedagogy to help teach physics skills and concepts to other students as Learning Assistants (LA) in one weekly introductory physics lab section. Prerequisites: A passing grade in the same course in which they want to be an LA, and submitting a successful LA application.
