MUS 240 A - Orientation Mus Tchg Lrng K-HS
Provides guided practice in observing music teaching and learning in a variety of settings. Develops professional perspective and vocabulary for analyzing effective teaching, diverse learning styles, and patterns of music instruction in a variety of contexts. Includes early field experience hours. Must complete criminal background check prior to observing in schools. Course Information: Prerequisite: Music education majors accepted into Teacher Certification Track.
Students registering for this course will be registered for the following course by the School of Music: EDPR 203 - This course is for 0 credit but carries the "Clinical Experience Fee". Students may NOT register for this course until they have passed the Illinois Basic Skills Test and the University of Illinois has received this score. The student will then be given a 1TCH attribute which is necessary to add MUS 240.
