Approved for Letter and S/U grading. May be repeated to a maximum of 18 hours in a semester; may be repeated to a maximum of 32 hours in subsequent semesters. Credit is not given for FIN 528 and FIN 580 (66393), Section ADF. Prerequisite: Varies by section.

THIS IS THE ONLINE-ONLY SECTION FOR THIS COURSE. Introduction to Data Science & Python for Finance introduces the principles of data science, analytics workflow, and how to work with large data sets. At the end of this course you will be comfortable using Python as part of your analytics toolkit while applying essential data analysis techniques to solve real world finance-related problems.Areas of application in Finance include: Sentiment Analysis, Time Series Analysis, Risk Management, Segmentation Analysis, and Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Course is restricted to MSF students and preference will be given to new MSF students.
