Focuses on the opportunities, risks, and management problems involved in establishing and operating new ventures. Covers the steps included in starting a new venture, such as evaluating the opportunity, determining financial and operational requirements and resources, and deciding on the structure of the organization. Includes management issues faced by individual entrepreneurs. Course Information: 4 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours.

This section will open to Information Systems major students on Monday, November 15, 2021 at approximately 10:00 a.m. This section will open to undergraduate Finance, Accountancy, Operations Management, Marketing and Supply Chain Management students as well as MSF, MSM, MSBA, MSTM and Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering and Systems Engineering & Design undergraduate students on Monday, November 22, 2021 and to Innovation, Leadership & Engineering Entrepreneurship students on Monday, November 29, 2021 at approximately 10:00 a.m. There are currently 10 reserved seats for Gies College of Business international exchange students only (any exchange students outside of GCOB who try to register will be removed); any unused seats will be released to students meeting the restrictions on Friday, January 21, 2022 at approximately 10:00 a.m.
