Topic: From Black Square to Black Reason: Imagining Post-Colonial Strategies of Architectural Subversion From Black Square to Black Reason explores the role of media in the generation of alternative and subversive architectural imaginaries. Reflecting on recent world events this seminar/workshop the course oscillates between the `Becoming Black of Objects- and the `Becoming Black of the World.- The `Becoming Black of Objects- aims to reconstruct the world anew by pursuing a philosophy of nothingness, through non-objectivity, laziness, non-commodification, and rejection of the status quo. On the other hand, the `Becoming Black of the World- operates at the effects of the -globalization of markets, the postimperial military complex, and electronic digital technologies- that the colonized south has long been subject to and has now become the norm around the world.
