Special Instructions:

Zooarchaeology is the study of the many ways that non-human animals were involved in past human societies, including diet, economy, and ideology. This course provides students with a practical working knowledge of laboratory identification and quantification techniques in the analysis of animal skeletal remains recovered from archaeological sites, and reviews the broad applications of faunal analysis in anthropological research."
