Description:
General education course in mathematics, for students who do not have mathematics as a central part of their studies. The goal is to convey the spirit of mathematical thinking through topics chosen mainly from plane geometry. Course Information: Prerequisite: Two units of high school algebra; one unit of high school geometry; or equivalent.
Special Instructions:
This course is designed for students preparing to teach geometry at the elementary and middle grade levels. Assignments include math journals, papers, and presentations. Email mathadvising@illinois.edu with enrollment questions....Priority registration goes to Education and General Studies. Any additional seats will be opened to general audiences during business hours on the Friday before fall classes begin.
