Survey of major theories and debates surrounding the gendered and sexualized dimensions of the Latina/o experience in the United States. The course is comprised of three major units: Gender, Sexuality, and Sex. In these units, students will read about and discuss issues pertaining to femininity/marianismo, masculinity/machismo, family/familism, desire, sexual behavior, sex work, sexual and gendered violence, and gendered and sexualized representations in pop culture. Course Information: Same as GWS 230.
