ADV 498 D - The Sandage Project
This course is named after the founder of the Advertising Department, Charles H. Sandage (known as the "father of advertising education"). His vision of educating the future of the industry was grounded in theoretical and foundational courses emphasizing the "why of advertising" - not just the "how." In this course, students will integrate the concepts, experiences, and skills that have been learned in the curriculum with a service-learning project. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. No graduate credit. Prerequisite: ADV 283, ADV 390 and ADV 460.
Priority for registration is given to majors who started coursework at Illinois prior to Fall 2018 and who are on track to graduate in SP21 or SU21. If seats are available, they will be released to additional majors graduating in FA21 who meet the pre-requisites on December 8. Please note: This section will have synchronous (live) sessions, to be held during the scheduled class day/time listed in Course Explorer.
