ACE 398 CON - Seminar - Financial Planning Conference

Description:

Group discussion on a special topic in a field of study directly pertaining to subject matter in agricultural and consumer economics. Course Information: Approved for Letter and S/U grading. May be repeated to 3 hours in a semester, up to a maximum of 12 total hours. Credit is not given for more than a total of 12 hours of Independent Study (IND) courses applying to a degree in ACES. Prerequisite: Junior standing and consent of instructor.

Students in this class will prepare for, attend, and reflect on portions of following online Financial Planning conferences: Morningstar MCIUS - See the Future of Investing. September 16 & 17 https://www.morningstar.com/en-us/events/mic Illinois FPA CAP Conference - September 24 & 25 https://www.fpaillinois.org/events/EventDetails.aspx-id=1316525&group= National Financial Planning Association Conference - September 30 - October 2 - https://fpaannual.org/ Financial Planning Spectacular - October 23 (site being constructed) Diversitas Financial Planning Summit - October 27 https://www.uakron.edu/cba/diversitas/ Students are required to attend live/online when possible and watch archived sessions when not. Each conference will have a deep assessment with a grading rubric. Prereq: Completion of or concurrent registration in ACE 240 or equivalent.
