Intensive study of a current environmental issue. Description of topic for a given semester will be stated in the course schedule.

Special Instructions:

Overview of the history and environment of China and an intro to the political ideology in China which shapes its socioeconomic transformation and environmental policies. A comparison of China and the U.S. with a focus on challenges the two countries face and what one can learn from the other. Topics: environmental planning practices, environmental injustice and inequality, public transit, urbanization processes, energy efficiency, and endangered species.
