Special Instructions:
This is an introductory course about malware analysis and covers the most important topics in this area, including system security basics, malware concept/classification, attacks, static analysis, dynamic analysis, sandboxes, emulators, and virtual machine introspection. Students finish a series of hands-on labs in order to learn how to use common analysis tools to dissect real-world malware in a virtual environment. Contact csc@uis.edu.
