IS 530 AO - Collection Development

Examines issues affecting the development and management of collections for academic, public, special, and school libraries: collection development policies, collection assessment, the marketplace, publishing, legal issues, and budget allocation; document delivery; collaboration and cooperation. Course Information: 4 graduate hours. No professional credit. Prerequisite: IS 505 - Information, Organization and Access (formerly IS 501 prior to FA 20), or concurrent enrollment in IS 505 and IS 530.
