IS 590 LGO - Advanced Problems in IS - Library Gaming Programs
Variety of newly developed and special topics courses on different aspects of the information sciences intended to augment the existing curriculum, offered as sections of IS 590. MUST CHOOSE either 2 or 4 Credit Hours. Covers the design, implementation, assessment, marketing, and sustainment of gaming programs in public, school, and academic libraries, and other community or institutional settings. Surveys games for different demographic groups, and explores methods for integration of gaming with other library programming. Reviews the history of recreational gaming and the use of games in research, educational, and clinical contexts.
