Special Instructions:
Introduction to fundamental concepts of bioinformatics and algorithms for analyzing biological data, including analysis of genomes and proteins. Use of established databases in conjunction with computer programming toolkits to solve real-world problems. Prior programming experience is not required. Topics include molecular phylogeny, microarray analysis and gene expression, proteomics, comparative genomics, and functional genomics. Requires Departmental Approval.
