Description:
Professionals well-trained in the confluence of agriculture, water, and conservation practices are required to meet crop production goals while keeping waters clean. Sources and mechanisms of nutrient loss to water from agricultural systems will be discussed. Students will be able to make recommendations for appropriate conservation practices as well as design water quality monitoring systems and analyze agricultural water quality data. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Successful completion of at least one course in agricultural, environmental, or soil sciences at the 300-level or above is required.
