HIS 447 - ECCE: Sports and US History
Examines changes in American social, cultural and political life through the lens of sports. Covers issues of race, community identity, class, and cultural development. Covers origins of baseball as "America-s game", how sports has been used to advance civil rights, gender identity, American exceptionalism. Course Information: This course fulfills an Engaged Citizenship Common Experience requirement at UIS in the area of U.S. Communities.
