Machine learning is a central part of both machine intelligence and data analytics. Machine learning explores the design and the study of algorithms that can learn from data or experience, make predictions, and improve their performance. This is a course that provides an overview of many concepts, techniques, and algorithms in machine learning, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and neural networks. Students will learn the basics of R, one of the most powerful languages for data analysis. Previous knowledge of R is not required. Contact csc@uis.edu. Requires Departmental Approval
