This course focuses on the "design" and "analysis" of contemporary computer network protocols. Topics include P2P, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, DNS, reliable data transfer, congestion control, TCP, UDP, unicast routing, multicast routing, IP, multiple access, ARP, CSMA, TLS/SSL, IPsec, and selected advanced computer networking systems. Restricted to MS CSC majors. Requires Departmental Approval
