Special Instructions:

This course will explore the characteristics that define social websites, their purposes, the benefits, and the risks involved in using them. Students will examine site privacy policies to determine how user data is and is not protected, particularly as compared to user expectations. Participants will investigate different methods of attack, including sidejacking, pineapple spearing, and spearching, and learn how to protect against them. Contact csc@uis.edu.
