SOCW 589 16A - Social Work and the Law
Legal procedures and issues of special relevance to social work practice; includes legal provisions related to poverty, family development and crises, racial and ethnic minorities, institutionalized persons, crime and delinquency, legal authority of social agencies, and regulation of the profession. Course Information: Prerequisite: Admission to the MSW program or consent of instructor.
Course registration is limited to part-time MSW Outreach students only. This section is for the Statewide 2016 cohort. Blend of asychronous and synchronous online learning. Collaborate sessions will be held every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 pm.
