A creative and expressive exploration of multiple art media, including but not limited to drawing, painting and design elements. This course is an introduction to the art making process with weekly interactive lectures and hands on studio sections. Course Information: Additional fees may apply. See Class Schedule. Not open to students in art and design and architecture. Class Schedule Information: Students must register for the lecture and one lab section.
Special Instructions:
This summer online course includes weekly online lectures and discussions, readings, self-directed field trips, videos, and hands-on art making/studio activities to provide insight to a wide range of artistic practice. This online version of the course provides an introduction to art through thematic lectures exploring both historical and contemporary artistic practices with a self-directed creative and expressive exploration of multiple art media. Studio techniques will be taught through online video tutorials and documentation of studio explorations and projects will be submitted through compass.
