Campus: Springfield
Description:
Various topics; description changes according to topic offered. See course schedule for prerequisites. Course Information: May be repeated if topics vary. Students may register in more than one section per term.
Special Instructions:
One of the most important concepts in security: What comes next. It-s not good enough to just have security awareness and an active patching/updating schedule. The disposition and mindset of a technologist is an essential part of preventing future system breaches as these systems evolve. This is especially important in the cloud and increasing usage of shared components. This course will help students take a deeper look at what they're doing, understand security as a "systems problem," recognize the implications of your environment, and "think like the enemy." Requires completion of CSC 275. Contact csc@uis.edu. Requires Departmental Approval
