MATH 286 ONL - Intro to Differential Eq Plus
Campus: Urbana-Champaign
Description:
Techniques and applications of ordinary differential equations, including Fourier series and boundary value problems, linear systems of differential equations, and an introduction to partial differential equations. Covers all the MATH 285 plus linear systems. Intended for engineering majors and other who require a working knowledge of differential equations. Course Information: Credit is not given for both MATH 286 and any of MATH 284, MATH 285, MATH 441. Prerequisite: MATH 241. For more information on this course, please see https://netmath.illinois.edu/summer/math-286.
Special Instructions:
This section has an online format and requires access to Mathematica-based courseware. Students will receive information about how to sign up for an account in CAS-ILE ($99) after enrollment in the course. This course contains multiple paper-based exams that must be taken with an approved proctor. Exams may be taken on- or off-campus. For summer proctoring options see https://netmath.illinois.edu/summerproctor. Off-campus proctors must be able to scan completed exams and email them to NetMath for grading, as well as mailing the paper exam back for archival purposes. Please contact netmath@illinois.edu with any questions. Registration for the 8-week Summer term ONL section is done through Enterprise Self-Service at https://apps.uillinois.edu/selfservice. A 16-week self-paced version of this class will also be available as part of the academic year term (not summer term).
