Studies degrees and radians, the trigonometric functions, identities and equations, inverse functions, oblique triangles and applications. Course Information: Credit is not given for MATH 114 and either MATH 014 or MATH 115. Prerequisite: 1.5 units of high school algebra; 1 unit of high school geometry. Special Instructions:
This section uses the ALEKS assessment and learning system. Students are required to purchase an ALEKS code to access the course online. The code is non-refundable and costs $60. Registration for the 8-week Summer term ONL section is done through Enterprise Self-Service at https://apps.uillinois.edu/selfservice. A 16-week self-paced version of this class will also be available as part of the academic year term (not summer term). Registration for the self-paced class is done through https://netmath.illinois.edu/register/college. This course has a paper-based final exam that must be taken with an approved proctor. Exams may be taken on- or off-campus. For summer proctoring options see https://netmath.illinois.edu/summerproctor. Off-campus proctors must be able to scan completed exams and email them to NetMath for grading, as well as mailing the paper exam back for archival purposes.
