Description:

Examines concepts of health and health promotion in contemporary society with emphasis on a healthy lifestyle for individuals and groups. Topics include self care, health insurance, exercise, nutrition and weight control, sexuality, contraception, tobacco, alcohol, cardiovascular health, infectious diseases, and cancer. Class Schedule Information: Enrollment required for Community Health Freshmen and transfer students. Students must register for one discussion and one lecture section.

Special Instructions:

2ND EIGHT WEEKS: Registration for this course will close at 9 AM on the first day of instruction. No overrides will be given after that time. it takes 24 hours after registering for your name to show up on Compass but this will not happen until 1 week prior to the first day of instruction.
