Relationship of materials and mechanics concepts to the design of structures and components: elasticity, plasticity, thermal loading, creep, fatigue, fracture, and residual-life assessments as they relate to materials selection and design. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 3 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: ME 330 and ME 371; Recommended: ME 430.
