i-cards
The i-card is the official University of Illinois identification
card. It is used to access services and appropriate facilities and
to verify status on all three University of Illinois campuses. Services
vary from campus to campus and are described on the i-card
Web site.
Off-campus students do not automatically receive i-cards.
If needed, however, an i-card can be requested by contacting your
home department, which in turn will send the request to the ID Center
on your home campus. The card will be issued without a photo unless
you are able to visit the ID Center in person. In order to gain
access to University facilities, a picture ID must be presented
in conjunction with the photoless i-card.
Network
IDs
The Network ID is a unique login name used to access a variety of
online university services and information resources. All students,
faculty, and staff at all three campuses are issued Network IDs
when they begin their affiliation with the University. Information
about how the Network ID is issued and used on each campus is available
