The following files are brief
examples of some of my Audio Introductions to the Learning Modules in a
Business Law Course on the WebCT platform.
All files are hyperlinked above the
reading material etc in the course.
There are no download issues and the
students are encouraged to read the Module during the short time for them
to start.
The students also are instructed to
respond back to me orally! This is simply done without any additional
downloads and can be done from their cell phones.
To hear some of my student responses
back to me simply see the sample "Student summaries" as well as
Student Introductions below. The oral student presentations were broadcasted
from all over the world (Korea, Afghanistan, and Iraq) with no technological
issues.
I am also having "Guest Lectures"
from nationally known subject matter experts do various segments. For example
a US Congressman did a oral presentation on "How a Bill is Passed in Congress".
These experts are more than willing to assist as there is no cost to them
in anyway and the presentations can be done anywhere they use a cell phone.
Since this and everything in Distance
Learning is a "work in progress". I would appreciate your thoughts
and suggestions.
Student Introductions (
Examples from my e-army class that will be used also in Bus 123)
Very simply,
the students Introduce themselves to all others orally by using a cell
phone and the posts go into the class:
Let's
be the first to use audio in an online class!
Simply follow the instructions in the
Announcement Section to do your audio introduction and I will then post
here! I believe it adds a totally personal touch to online!
