Dr. Linda C. Smith, Interim Dean, UIUC Graduate School of Library and Information Science, states:

"Peer review of online classes is done as part of 3rd year and promotion and tenure review for all LEEP faculty.  Through our version of a teaching academy, the Teaching Alliance, we want to introduce peer assessment, for both on-campus and LEEP courses."

"We expect to be developing insights into best practices through our LEEP retreat planned for this summer.  This may give us a basis for more systematic evaluation of all LEEP courses (at a minimum we hope to offer better guidance to faculty developing and teaching LEEP courses)."
