Burks,

Thank you for the kind words, I did enjoy the class this semester.  I gained a variety of valuable skills from the class, which will be very useful in the future.  For instance, I was recently promoted to software specialist at my job in Springfield, IL, and system problems are submitted through posting boards.  I feel comfortable doing this because I am familiar with what is necessary to make a good posting.  I submit the problem with evidence to support my reasoning, offer a possible cause for the error, and sometimes a potential solution to the problem.  All of these skills were emphasized throughout the class, and I wanted you to know that this course enhanced me as a person.

As an aside, I was also impressed with how I got to know my peers on a personal level; even more so than in a traditional lecture setting.  Online learning may be a solution to the problems of judging people by their physical appearance, mannerisms, verbal exchanges, etc.  I really believe I was able to get to know the "real person" in each of my classmates.

Thanks for these useful tools I can use forever,
