The university plans to price the 18 courses at about $1,000 each. With the added cost of the identity verification fee, the total cost of the degree will be about $20,000, Echambadi said. All online MS non-thesis students must fulfill the same degree program requirements as on-campus students. The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition in the UIC College of Applied Health Sciences is offering both Human Anatomy and Physiology I and Human Anatomy and Physiology II online this spring. Students utilize interactive software packages to gain an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the systems of the human body, including nervous, special senses, endocrine, cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary, lymphatic, immune, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems. Online Dairy Classes Begin In January
Two online dairy courses will be offered by the University of Illinois in the spring of 2013. The 10-week courses begin Jan. 28. "Advanced Dairy Nutrition" (ANSC 423) is a dairy feeding class that covers nutrient classes, phase feeding, dry-cow feeding and health, and forages. The course will be coordinated by Mike Hutjens and team-taught by three other instructors. "Milk Secretion and Mastitis" (ANSC 435) will also begin on Jan. 28. Dick Wallace and two other instructors will be coordinating the class. All phases of milk quality, secretion, nutrition, as well as mastitis control and prevention, will be covered. Lectures are available on the website (class on demand) with an Internet live class held during the 10 weeks of class on Monday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. CST (nutrition) and 8 to 9 p.m. (milk quality).
