U of I Online Military Benefit & Resources

The University of Illinois Online works with military personnel to ensure that individuals are taking advantage of all opportunities available to them. The branches of the military, excluding the Navy, reimburse up to $250 per credit hour up to a maximum of $4,500 annually. The tuition for courses at the University of Illinois ranges from well below the maximum reimbursement, to well above. Tuition varies from program to program.

There are two educational entitlement programs available to veterans; the Active Duty Montgomery GI Bill and the Selected Reserve Montgomery GI Bill. The University of Illinois also encourages participation in several Federal Financial Aid programs including the Federal Stafford Student Loan, the Federal PLUS Loan, and the Federal Pell Grant.
