Relevant Psychology Electives
Select 28 hours or upper division coursework to fulfill the requirements of the major. Online students are required to select an Individualized Concentration to give them the greatest flexibility in obtaining a general background in psychology
University Requirements
  • Engaged Citizen Common Experience (ECCE) - 9 hours
  • Speakers Series - 1 credit hour
Additional Upper Level Coursework
Students need to complete at least 48 hours of upper-division credit in order to graduate with a BA in Psychology. Thirty-six (36) of these upper-division hours should be completed through Psychology major requirements. The remaining 12 credit hours could be completed by selecting upper-division coursework to fulfill ECCE requirements and/or with additional upper-division Psychology or other coursework. A minimum total of 120 combined lower division and upper division credit hours is required to earn a UIS bachelor's degree.
